Description
Summary:As companies and organizations have constantly evolved with digital communication and connectivity, the danger that cyber threats has posed have also increased proportionally, with Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks emerging as one of the more serious cyber-attacks. A DDoS attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal functioning of a network, service, or website by overwhelming it with a flood of internet traffic. Sizable numbers of DDoS attacks can be tracked around the world every day, from the smallest website to the largest organizations. As the reliance on internet and cloud databases grows tremendously across industries, the impact of DDoS attacks has become more severe, posing a significant threat to the stability and functionality of critical infrastructures. In this report, we study how to detect and potentially even prevent these DDoS attacks.
