As organisations continue to embrace technology-driven solutions, the need for robust and efficient network design becomes paramount. This final year project, titled "Network Infrastructure Design with Network Emulator Software," aims to address the challenges associated with creating network infrastructures for enhanced connectivity and performance. The project also emphasises the importance of optimising network performance through efficient traffic management and load balancing techniques. By distributing network traffic and resources, the proposed design ensures minimal congestion, thereby enhancing overall performance and user experience. The creation of virtualisation and simulation technologies has allowed network engineers to successfully emulate networks in a virtual environment. EVE-NG (Emulated Virtual Environment - Next Generation) allows network engineers to design, test, and evaluate complex network topologies in a virtual environment. This final year project explores the capabilities of EVE-NG for network design and its potential to enhance the performance and reliability of virtualised networks. The study encompasses network design using EVE-NG, focusing on the simulation of routing protocols, security measures and the integration between network devices and Linux technologies. In short, this final year project seeks to contribute to the field of network design by presenting a comprehensive and innovative approach to building efficient and secure network infrastructures with the use of Linux to make it a more robust and efficient network design. In the digital era, network infrastructures play a crucial role in facilitating communication in organisations.
