Summary: | Nowadays, the thriving digital world leads to high frequent digital communication between people. High-speed internet enables instant data sharing, helping people gain plenty of information each day. As efficient and easy-to-read formats of information, large number of images and videos are transmitted. People are willing to share images and videos online since the social media has become the main way for communication and the online documentation becomes popular.
Before updating images and videos, users prefer to edit them to beautify them or fulfill some requirements. The demands on tools capable of enhancing these visual contents are highlighted. In current mobile application market, there are lots of applications which can manipulate image and video editing. However, image and video processing are divided into different applications and only the short video platforms provide both functions.
The project aims to develop an android application for image and video processing. The application is implemented in Android Studio with Java language. Testing is conducted in the emulator provided in Android Studio. The final application should provide both image and video processing functions with user-friendly features.
This report presents the background, overview of the project in details. The code implementation of functions inside the application and testing are discussed in the later part. In addition, the limitations and future work are included in the end of the report. |
