Description
Summary:This project aims to develop a portable and low-cost solution which is capable of accurately measuring objects in 3-dimensional (3D) space and providing on-site color correction functionality under varying lighting conditions. The solution leverages advanced measurement, computer vision, and cloud computing technologies to modernize traditional dimensional measurement and color correction practices. Key features of the solution include: - Utilization of Open-Source Computer Vision (OpenCV) and self-developed algorithms for color correction and dimensional measurements. - Integration of Cloud Computing for seamless communication between the smartphone and image processing server. - A user-friendly mobile application for image capture, processing and visualizing the results. - Robust calibration methods for accurate and precise color correction and dimensional measurements. Through this project, we aim to provide a portable and user-friendly solution that addresses the challenges faced by clients of the Research Institute (RI). The proposed tool has the potential to significantly improve the quality control processes.
