Summary: | Wireless power transfer opens the door for many innovations because of their lack of physical limitations. Magnetic resonant coupling coils have pushed the industry to another level that can allow power to transmit a much further distance. This requires the overall system to operate at a high resonant frequency. Copper wires are used instead of traditional litz wires. This study uses High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software to design coils that can operate at a set resonant frequency. Parameters of the design that can affect its resonant frequency will be considered. Overall system optimization will also be discussed here. |
