Description
Summary:Artificial intelligence of things(AIoT) is performing an increasingly important role in digital world. ADC is the connection unit of digital and analog world. While ADC consists of quantities of comparators, the design of low power always-on comparator is required for AIoT sensors deployment. This project reviews the MOSFET technology and basic units of CMOS amplifier and comparator. To reduce the effect of offset cancellation, three basic techniques including autozeroing, correlated double sampling and chopper stabilization are analysed. The project designs a comparator with a offset cancellation circuit in the preamplify stage. The hysteresis is also introduced into it for reducing noise. The simulation of every stage of the comparator and offset cancellation are conducted in the project. This designed comparator exhibits a satisfying performance in offset cancellation and the comparison output.
