| Summary: | Just like most zookeepers in the zoos around the world, the zookeepers typically care for multiple animals at one time. They are responsible for both the well-being of the animals as well as the maintenance of the exhibits that the animals live in. Such responsibilities include feeding, providing training and welfare for the animals as well as monitoring the whereabouts of the animal in the area. Zookeepers typically work in shifts since it would be impossible for them to keep track of every animal under their supervision without teamwork. To enable the zookeeper to monitor the health of the animals, particularly the flamingos and civet cats, the project's goal is to develop a tracking system that will lessen their workload. By doing so, they would be able to identify any behavior that deviates from the norm and take prompt actions to protect those animals. |
