This report covers the making of a nuanced 3D-animated film about communication, perception, and subtexts. It also investigates the effectiveness of modern industry-level stylized 3D rendering techniques using the Maya Arnold renderer for local narrative storytelling. As director and producer of 'The Policeman is a Tiger', I detail the experience of using a 3D CGI production pipeline as well as its setbacks. I cover comprehensive methodologies on different creative software ranging from storyboarding in TVPaint to post-processing in Foundry Nuke. Each section features in-depth reflection and learning pointers that are useful for both technical applications and creative production for future projects.
