Electrophysiology is an application of live-cell imaging which measures the
electrical activity of cells. This application requires effective temperature control at 37 ℃
for successful experiments.
This report discusses how an incubator is designed in terms of its hardware and software.
In this project the target microscope is the Nikon Ti-2-U microscope. The incubator is
designed to have an effective temperature control that maintains the environment in the
incubator at 37 ℃, as well as to ensure its user friendliness. The report then talks about
how the incubator is then tested to determine the effectiveness of the incubator with neuron
cells and spiking human embryonic cells (SHEK cells). |
