The installation invites viewers to an immersive, interactive experience - mirroring the motion of being spirited away, evoking a sense of wonder and introspection. And when the earth falls away, to finally witness, a sea of stars. The creation of my FYP began from REAL U with the lens of photography, where I learned the fundamentals of composition and visual storytelling. Exploring abstract digital painting then further expanded my creative horizons, allowing me to experiment with colour, texture, and emotion. These experiences culminated in the development of an abstract interactive installation — perfect blue, a project that merges photography, digital art, and technology. In this essay, I will explore how my exploration of photography and digital painting, alongside my investigations into interactivity and the creation of 3- Dimensional(3D) visual elements, led to the conceptualisation and realisation of an immersive, interactive installation. Through this interdisciplinary approach, I aim to showcase how diverse artistic mediums can intersect to create innovative and engaging experiences for both artists and audiences alike. This installation represents a pivotal moment in my creative journey, pushing boundaries and inviting viewers to actively engage with art in a new and exciting way. At its core, perfect blue seeks to examine mankind’s connection to nature, kindling a feeling of captivation and quiet contemplation.
