In this research, experiments were conducted to examine the failure attributes across adhesives with and without Thermoexpancel particles whilst running current through the adhesive layer. Sheets of Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) and Aluminium-Titanium Alloys (Al/Ti) were bonded using the DP460 adhesive mixed with varying weights of Thermoexpancel particles. A customized Floating Roller Peel coupled with a Tensile Test machine was used to test the performance of these adhesives under normal room temperature conditions.
