The conference, jointly organized by Gauhati University Department of Linguistics and scholars from the Research Centre for Linguistic Typology (RCLT) at La Trobe University consisted of two days of workshops (February 5-6) at Gauhati University’s Linguistics Department and three days of talks (February 7-9) at the newly-inaugurated Don Bosco Institute in Guwahati’s Kharghuli Hills area.
