Summary: | E-learning has been defined as the latest trend of multimedia technologies. With the help of the Internet, E-learning helps to improve the quality of education. Cellular on the other hand, is one of the fastest growing and most demanding telecommunications applications. Combining these two fast growing technologies, this report has documented the steps taken in developing the E-learning system for the subject of cellular communication system design. In this project, research was done on the benefits of E-learning and how does E-learning provides a platform in helping the users in understanding the course materials. In order to make an E-learning website successful, a detailed web design planning is necessary. This report therefore documented the analysis of methodologies and models used in design and development of the website. The major part of this report lies on the analysis and design, as well as function design section. Visual appeal is an important factor to consider during the design phase, this could mark the difference in success or failure of a website. This report presented the detailed interface and interaction analysis and design by considering various factors listed in the analysis and design section. Functional design is another very important aspect in the development of the E-learning website, therefore a detailed explanation of various functional coding examples such as Javascript, HTML, Flash and MATLAB are also documented. After all, whether or not the E-learning website is acceptable, testing procedures need to be carried out in making the judgment. This report has covered three types of testing methodologies adopted for the project. Lastly, this report has summarized by concluding from the design and testing aspects. Personal achievement and ideas for future improvements were also documented. |
