Family caregivers are indispensable in the care of people living with dementia; many times, family caregivers find themselves under tremendous stress and burden. Person-centred care (PCC) considers a patient's needs and preferences and has been identified to reducing these huge burdens for people living with the condition and their caregivers. The PErson-centred cARe application, subsequently referred to as PEAR, is a closed-loop software system designed to support healthcare providers in person-centred care with dementia patients. It helps facilitate PCC for dementia patients by capturing patient information, personalising care plans, and enabling seamless collaboration among healthcare providers and caregivers. By leveraging technology and a person-centred approach, PEAR can help to address the challenges faced by both individuals with dementia and their families. Over the project’s duration, multiple screens, such as a configuration screen, activity preference screen, and doctor note screen, were developed on the mobile application. In addition to the screens, some other work was performed, including implementing new elements, refactoring, and bug fixing. With progress made with every new batch of developers, PEAR inches closer to completion. However, various screens and bugs remain uncompleted and fixed within the PEAR mobile application. Some future recommendations include further developing the configuration screen, upgrading the Expo SDK version, implementing screens such as notifications, photo albums, holidays, and optimising user experience through thorough testing and analysis.
