The European Commission’s 2021 AI coordination plan builds on these principles by urging member states to expand AI education across various non-technical fields. Despite these strategies, a significant portion of Europeans lack sufficient digital skills, indicating a need for greater investment in AI education and alignment with modern pedagogical approaches.
