Summary: | This report elaborates on the Final Year Project titled Designing and Printing (Making) Your Own Analog-to-Digital Converter (Organic Electronics). Organic electronics is a field where the circuits are printed onto media such as plastic. This project is about the designing of ADC based on a thin-film-transistor (TFT) model given. SPICE simulation tools such as AIM-Spice and HSPICE are explored in the progress of designing the ADC. The design uses a p-type transistor only design approach, as there is only PMOS model available in organic electronics. The method and analysis used in analog circuit design is studied, such as operating point analysis, AC analysis and transient analysis. Using these analysis simple circuits like common-source (CS) amplifier are designed and analyzed. A more complex circuit of cascode CS amplifier is also designed. |
