Description
Summary:Permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM), has received extensive attention in electrified transportation system due to the high efficiency, high power density and compact structure. The electromagnetic (EM) vibration performance is an important specification for the PMSM, as it affects the passenger’s riding comfort and the noise grade of electrified transportation. This article comprehensively overviews the current research progress on the generation mechanism and suppression measures of EM vibration in PMSM. First, different excitations of the EM vibration of PMSM are discussed. In particular, the force modulation effect of stator teeth as a research hot spot provides a new perspective for EM vibration analysis, calculation, and suppression. Afterward, the EM vibration suppression measures are presented, including slot-pole combination selection, new EM structure design, advanced drive topology and control strategy. The classification, principles, results, pros and cons of various vibration suppression measures are discussed. This article aims to provide engineers and scholars with a comprehensive review of the latest achievements in the field of EM vibration of PMSMs.
