纵览剧坛，关于土生华人剧场的戏剧研究寥寥无几。奥理奥理作为海峡华人峇峇组织的剧团在华语剧场的领域占据了另类的位置。本论文将以奥理剧团作为研究对象，探究此剧团二战前的主要特征，以及他们在新加坡华语剧场里的定位。本文将揭示，奥理剧团在二战前展现了与华语剧场之间的抗衡。该剧团展现了别具一格的表演形式和身份属性，对当时传统和主流的华语剧场带来了不一样的冲击和内容。本论文希望由此填补戏剧领域的研究空白，并将今天鲜为人知的奥理奥理剧团纳入大众视野。 Across the theatrical landscape, studies on Peranakan theatre remain scarce. Oleh Oleh Party founded by a group of Straits Chinese babas occupies a unique position in Chinese theatre scene. Hence, this thesis will focus on exploring Oleh Oleh Party key characteristics prior to World War II and its position within the Chinese theatre scene. This study will reveal that before World War II, Oleh Oleh Party exhibited a sense of resistance against the mainstream Chinese theatre scene. The party showcased distinctive performance styles and identity, bringing a different kind of impact to the traditional and dominant Chinese theatre of that time. Thus, this thesis aims to bridge the research gap in the field of Peranakan Theatre studies and bring Oleh Oleh Party into public discourse.
