Summary: | Digital watermark is an invisible structure to be embedded into the host media. To be effective, a watermark must be imperceptible within its host, discrete to prevent unauthorized removal, easily extracted by the owner, and robust to incidental and intentional distortions. The proposed algorithm uses a non-blind digital audio watermarking scheme using time-frequency based operations. Compared with digital video and image watermarking, digital audio watermarking provides a special challenge because the human auditory system (HAS) is extremely more sensitive than the human visual system (HVS). The proposed audio watermarking algorithm takes advantage of the perceptual properties of the human auditory system (HAS) in order to add a watermark into a host signal in a perceptually transparent manner. The psychoacoustic model is used to search the places in the spectrum where the data can be embedded without being perceived by the listener.
This project attempted to achieve an optimal balance between inaudibility and robustness of watermarked audio is a big challenge, in this project, the proposed algorithm also provides good robustness against the attacks on the watermarked audio sequence. |
