Robust repetitive control with application to PWM DC/AC inverters
Repetitive control has been successfully used in various applications due to its ability of tracking or rejecting exogenous periodic signals with low costs. On the other hand, Iterative Learning Control (ILC) is a closely related research area and has been studied over 20 years. The objective of thi...

The objective of this thesis is to provide some design methods of combining ILC and robust repetitive control design methods to increase periodic disturbance rejection performance as well as guarantee worst case performance of system. In this thesis, a sequential and iterative design methodology for robust repetitive control system is presented. It can improve performance of control system by tracking or rejecting signals with higher frequency components. Based on this framework, frequency domain ILC synthesis methods can be applied in the design sequence. This thesis devotes itself to methodologies of phase lead compensation in robust repetitive learning control. In conventional repetitive control system, the period of exogenous signals must be the integer number of sampling points. However, it is not always satisfied in real applications. In this thesis, a systematic approach for non-integer delay repetitive control system with fixed sampling rate is proposed. The proposed fractional delay based repetitive control scheme employs the design techniques in digital signal processing theory and two different implementation structures are presented.
