The purpose of this program is to make students aware the importance of applying the learning knowledge into a real working environment as well as to instill in students the right kind of working attitude and work professionalism. This report records the training received by the author in details during the attachment period at ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. The author has been attached to the Plant Computing Group (PCG) under the Technology/System Application (TSA) section. Technology/System Application (TSA) section is a group which oversees and maintains applications database and networks for both the Jurong Refinery Plant and the PAC Refinery plant. The author’s office is situated in ExxonMobil Jurong Refinery. This report highlights the involvement of the author in debugging and enhancement of the Lablink program currently used by the plant, design and programming of a new program Lablink Service, the compilation of these programs’ documentations and help files. The author has made considerable improvements to the existing programs to enhance reporting time, provide better user interface as well as add in new features.
