Description
Summary:This dissertation was designed to study the extent and nature of information and knowledge sharing among the postgraduate students in Singapore. The study also meant to investigate the postgraduate students’ attitudes towards information and knowledge sharing in general. In particular, it aimed to find out the purposes for which the students shared information and knowledge, the factors and class activities that promoted or inhibited sharing, and the communication channels through which the students shared information and knowledge. A survey was administered to 270 postgraduate students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) during a one-month period in October 2005. Based on the findings derived from the study, this report provides an in-depth discussion about the measures that the universities can put in place, to promote information and knowledge sharing among its postgraduate students.
