Hu Junhui School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering The aim of this report is to describe the new ultrasonic levitation device and the phenomenon it exhibits. This device consists of 2 vertical rectangular plates with 3 designs placed horizontally with some distance away fiom each other. The device is able to lift up a series of object from small particle such as powders, brine shrimp egg and atomized water stream up to medium sized particle such as plant seed. The advantage of using this device as compared to usual ultrasound device is that the device can directly interact with the material to be processed hence eliminating the need of human operator to place the object with tweezers. Some particle will then be levitated in between the plate and transported to elsewhere before being dropped into new place by turning off the power supply of the levitator.
