Summary: | With the wide use of the external wall tiling as the finishing system of buildings, system failures such as tile falling, buckling, cracking and adhesive delamination have been reported in many countries, including Singapore. These problems lead to the controversy as to whether it is necessary to install tiles for external wall surfaces. Among the important influence factors to the system performance, this thesis concentrates on the tiling workmanship to study its reduction effect to tile bonding strength by the pull-off test. |
