Description
Summary:In order to satisfy the growing demand for telecommunications, communication systems with high microwave frequencies are becoming increasingly significant because of the congestion at the low microwave frequency bands. The performance of a communication system with frequencies above 10 GHz is sensitive to the meteorological conditions in the region where the system is deployed. In the tropical and equatorial regions, attenuation of microwave signal caused by heavy rain is a major problem for the design of such communication systems. Hence detailed knowledge of rain is important for predicting the attenuation of microwave signals.
