The work reported will form the foundation for planning and implementing subsequent phases of the corporate wide C1M architecture. The thesis begins with the explanation of the equipment efficiency, data collection and its relevance in the industry. An overview of the company, with the current architecture is provided. This is followed by an explanation of the new corporate architecture and the proposed system. System design, integration and implementation plans are discussed in detail. The thesis ends with the discussion chapter where the implications of implementing this system in the company are elaborated.
