Summary: | This report presents a case study of a Singapore Consortium's effort to develop an industrial park in Wuxi Municipality of Jiangsu Province, China. The key attraction to Singapore Consortium investing in Wuxi is that Wuxi has so far, seen a relatively low degree of penetration by foreign investors as compared to other major cities in China and hence offer quite an attractive investment climate as compared to other cities. Besides this, its proximity to Shanghai also allow Wuxi to tap into the good infrastructural networks available and to enjoy substantial potential economic spillovers from Shanghai. |
