Description
Summary:Albeit the current economic turmoil in the region, the authors foresee a burgeoning art market in Singapore and the region in the near term. Hence, an art gallery business is conceptualised to tap this market. The plan is formulated on a foundation of a comprehensive market survey and contains some revolutionary ideas and concepts which the authors believe to be new to the Singapore art scène. These concepts are original to the authors and are developed through imagination, brainstorming and application of today 's multimedia resources. Field studies were conducted through attendance of international art exhibition, visitations at art museums and galleries, and informal interviews with gallery owners and artists. The ideas presented here may or may not have been tested by art retailers in other regions. The initial feedback we have gathered from artists and art collectors on our businessplan has beenpositive and very encouraging.
