| Summary: | This study was carried out among science teachers in Singapore primary schools in the middle of 1996. The purpose of the study was to investigate the extent to which science teachers taught problem solving in the primary school science curriculum. The study used a nine-page questionnaire. "Use of Science Instructional Techniques" which comprised six sections, covering 78 scaled items and 14 open-ended items. Both quantitative and qualitative types of data were collected and presented in this report. The survey was carried out among 348 trained teachers in 36 Singapore primary schools. |
