Citation analysis of the IES journal

This study looked at the publications cited in the 1992 to 1994 issues of the IES Journal, which is the official publication of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore. The cited publications were analysed in terms of their form and relative age of publication. Also examined was the authorship pattern of source articles in the IES Journal. The results were then compared with the characteristics of engineering publications of other countries with a view to testing the hypothesis that the IES Journal is similar in characteristics to overseas engineering journals.
