Summary: | This project reviews the theory and methodology adopted by TI/TOL 3D+ Tolerance Management System application software. The assembly variation model of a mechanical assembly is based on vector loop which represent the dimension chains that produce tolerance stackup in the assembly. A method called Direct Linearisation Method (DLM) is employed to generalise the assembly variation model to include small kinematic adjustments between mating parts. |
