Therefore numerous research projects had been conducted to develop accurate liquid handling tools. One of the most common liquid handling tools is the pipettor. Nowadays, there are many advance pipettors with high accuracy up to 0.1 µL available in the market. However liquid handling process is still too tedious and time-consuming when performed manually. Some of the factors do include the accuracy of the liquid dispensed, human’s fatigue, cost efficiency and also high-throughput in drug research area. Therefore, there is a strong desire to automate the liquid handling process by incorporating advance tools, sensors and workstation together become a fully automated liquid handling system.
