Summary: | Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most common opportunistic human pathogens that can cause systemic infections particularly in immunocompromised individuals. Development of its resistance to many antimicrobial agents becomes a
major threat to the society. This report is an attempt to find out the minimal
bactericidal concentration of disinfectants against Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAOlo
Five commonly used disinfectant solutions are chosen for this study. Their timebased
killing effects were analyzed. Tap water and distilled water were used as
dilution media and their different effects were also analyzed. Phenol, basic
antiseptic, was used as a standard to compare the capacities of all disinfectant
solutions. |
