Description
Summary:The phenomenon of interlocking directorship (one person sitting on the boards of many companies) has become a common practice in many countries, including Singapore. An important question that has been asked regarding this issue is: What is the extent of this phenomenon in Singapore? This is a fundamental issue as it calls into question the ability of a person to handle the myriad of tasks demanded of him in the many boards he sits in, as well as the wisdom of concentrating power in the hands of a few. Another question this study aims to answer is the extent of interlocked directors to political parties and the military.
