As cold war ended, many countries begin to adopt “Global Governance” as a new concept on governing their own nation. This new concept was later adopted by China’s government to govern the country and to make plans for new reforms. Under this concept, the Chinese government begin to place more importance on the development of Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) and their functions in the society. The Chinese government is aware that it is impossible to have total dependence on the government itself to overcome problems arising in the society hence there is a need to draw support from these NGOs to aid in providing services to the needs of the society. With the rapid development of NGOs in China, NGOs are affecting the government in its organization management, activities and operation of the management system and mechanism. This can be seen especially in the activities that NGOs are involved, as these activities have been driving the development of global governance in China in an imperceptible manner. Hence, this paper will be discussing on how NGOs has directly or indirectly affect global governance development in China through the activities organised by the NGOs.
