"模仿欲望" ：《肉蒲团》和《绣榻野史》中性欲的表现 = Mimesis of desire : sexual desires in “Carnal Prayer Mat” and “Incest of the Two Absurd Families”

明清“性爱小说”也被称为艳情小说、性小说 、猥亵小说、淫秽小说等，专指明清时代以描写性爱和肉欲为主要内容的小说。以往对这类小说的研究大多集中在其道德层面如“惩戒警告”、“因果报应”和性文化等主题上。本论文将利用客观的社会心理学元素——勒内• 吉拉尔 (René Girard) 的理论来研究当中的两部代表作，《肉蒲团》和《绣榻野史》中性欲的表现。要探讨的课题包括：“模仿欲望”（mimetic desire）的表现如何成为小说角色冲突的导火线，而“替罪羊”机制（surrogate victimage）的功用如何控制“模仿竞争”（mimetic rivalry）所衍生出的种种暴力行径。 Despite the many titles given to classify “sexual fiction” in the Ming and Qing Dynasty, it usually refers to novels written with content largely based on description of sexual love and carnal pleasures. Past analysis on such novels had usually placed emphasis on the moral degradation of social values, e.g. “disciplinary punishment”, “karmic retribution” and sex culture, etc. This paper would therefore suggest socio-psychological elements——René Girard’s mimesis theory to further explore their relationship with the portrayal of sexual desires in two of such accomplished novels, “Carnal Prayer Mat” (Rou Pu Tuan) and “Incest of the Two Absurd Families” (Xiu Ta Ye Shi). Topics to be discussed include: how do the portrayal of “mimetic desire” sparks off conflicts between characters in the novels, and how violent acts that stem from “mimetic rivalry” could be control by the mechanism of “surrogate victimage”.
