This trend reflects new aspects of changing relation between domestic workers and employers in Singapore in respect to a need of education and empowerment for female immigrants. When dealing with financial stress upon return, obtained knowledge from aidha gives domestic workers better understanding of the challenge and necessity for saving. It is possible that international migration, in combination with financial and entrepreneurial education, can reduce poverty in long run. And through membership with aidha, female migrants achieve higher self-esteem and better work performance that equip them with sustainable return.
