Description
Summary:In the past ten years, effort has been made to improve the design of interfaces to online catalogues. However, a number of studies have shown that the interfaces are still not as good as they can be. Many libraries have set up Web sites for their users and put up Web interfaces to their online catalogues. Are these Web interfaces effective in helping users search for useful information? Although several studies have investigated traditional non-Web interfaces to online catalogues, there are few published studies of Web interfaces to online catalogues.
