Description
Summary:The report presents an improved Time difference of Arrival (TDOA) measurement technique to achieve UWB localization in an indoor environment. A de-convolution algorithm has been developed in MATLAB to determine the estimated channel between the transmitter and receiver. Simulation results show the minimum position error in estimated location with respect to actual position location with the both algorithms combined. The impulse response obtained by de-convolution algorithm helps to verify the time differences of received waveforms in TDOA estimation, compared to observations directly from the received waveforms. Different scenarios in terms of 1 meter, 2 meters and 4 meters Light of sight localization testing have been conducted to verify the algorithms both in simulations and measurements. A ranging errors testing has been constructed for 15 different samples. Furthermore, the power consumptions of the UWB transmitter have been tested and Fourier property of UWB transmitted signal has been investigated.
