Description
Summary:This dissertation presents case studies on the design of Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software for use on a Hot Mix Asphalt Batch Mix Plant using Unified Modeling Language expressed through a Rational Rose 3.0 Model (.mdl). The project work formed here is expected to display a typical case of subsequent evaluation of the level of software component abstraction, and re-use from this object-based design. In due time it may result in suggestions pertaining to a transition towards a full object oriented software development. It supports the claims that software development benefits from the use of object oriented methods.
