Summary: | Indoor wireless systems are increasingly being used in a large variety of shopping malls, office, factory and residential environments. This could be for the purpose of mobile phone operations, wireless LANs, and many other applications. Thus, adequate guidelines for placement of radio antennas are needed to ensure satisfactory performance at the lowest cost. These guidelines could be derived from a large amount of site specific propagation data. However, collecting a statistically significant database through measurements at each affected site is a tedious and time-consuming process. Alternatively, a Propagation Prediction tool could be used to generate this database with computer simulations. |
