Description
Summary:The idea of formulating a multimedia based security policy was explored, in the quest for more efficient secured transmission. This idea sprung from the observation that present policies do not differentiate between the various types of information media when prescribing security mechanisms. Before a proposal for policy was made, various issues such as the forms of attacks, the characteristics of the information, as well as the current security mechanisms and applications were examined. It was noted that information is most vulnerable when being transmitted on the Internet.
