Summary: | The Advanced Data Acquisition and Messaging (ADAM) system is an example of a communication payload that is being deployed in an ad-hoc LEO satellite constellation. The payload provides an efficient and reliable data acquisition system. The ADAM payload developed by ITR, Adelaide is currently flying on two LEO satellites, Australia’s FedSat and Korea’s K4 satellite. The ADAM payload is planned to support oceanographic data collection via sea based submersible mobile terminals. The development of these terminals forms the subject of this thesis. |
