This paper aims to go in depth into the Buddhist youth community in Singapore and their activities, and how with the knowledge of the Dhamma (teachings of the Buddha), they are able to cope with society’s rapid development and the westernization of their culture. By looking at the social demographics of the Buddhist Youths, and how the leaders of a Buddhist Youth Group faces different types of challenges in recruiting new members, and keeping the commitment and interest of their members. We explore the different types of peripheral programs that they have invented to recruit new members and would also provide youths with not only skill sets, but also tools that they can assist in developing their youth groups, and ultimately, the Buddhist community as a whole.
