Summary: | "Each time we talk, we hear half of what was said; listen to half of what was heard; remember half of what we listened to; and end up understanding only half of what we can remember. The process of our conversation is half futile half the time. Perhaps we should start to talk about it." Half Talk is a visual and conceptual exploration of the implicit and ambiguous nature of conversation. Defined by speech and thought, conversation gradually decays when actual thought is left half-said, half-heard and half-deciphered. Rather than what is spoken, this project investigates the importance of hidden thoughts in verbal communication. |
