Description
Summary:Today, Web search is becoming increasingly difficult for users to find information they need with traditional search technologies. Having increasing amount of data on the Internet increase exponentially, it has become more and more difficult for the users to map the correct queries to what they are searching for. Various new search technologies are working to solve this problem, including digging, tagging, voting, social networking and others. All these search techniques help users find their information faster. One of the key problems is to implement a correct way to order the search results in a way that more relevant search results are displayed on the top to the users. The main focus of this project is to implement a Firefox add-on for collaborative search which allows user to interact and re-order with the search results and search on their browsing history and community. Collaborative search let users show their effects in information retrieval tasks and allow users to share with others their searches.
