Description
Summary:DRAWING MEMORIES is a 3D animated short created by a team of four students, namely, Thom and Jerly Chang, Dionisuis Kartalaksana and Yeo Bi Xia. It is a story about a little boy who is brought back to the last reminiscence of his mother. This film is completed as a final year project at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), School of Art, Design and Media (ADM). The animation introduces the main character, Mason, trying to finish a drawing of him and his mother. However, it reminds him of the tragic incident that causes his mother's death. Feeling disheartened, Mason gives up. However, a displacement of ontological boundaries causes him to meet his mother. Smiling, his mother places the crayon back into his hands, and with it, the courage to move on from his traumatic past. Was it just a dream on Mason's part? Or was it love that compelled a mother's voice to speak from the other side of life? Perhaps Mason shall never know.... The project attempts, to tell a simple yet emotionally driven story, reminding the spectators the importance of their loved ones.
