Summary:Filial Piety in Ageing Singapore is an illustrated feature project that explores three main stories: 'The Caregiver's Plight' tells the stories of caregivers and what they go through. It also explores possible solutions, and provides an experts' views on the topic.Two academics give their view on the sandwiched generation, a phenomenon which is soon to grow. 'Neglected by Kin' focuses on the issue of elder neglect,' which is the second most prevalent form of elder abuse in Singapore, second to physical abuse. This is the group of elderly who are underreported on. 'Single, Not Lonely' tells the stories of single elderly who have no children, and yet live meaningful lives and find joy in company of their kin and friends.
