The film tells the stories of two people, a 30-year-old mother and a 16-year-old girl, who have been teased, rejected and ridiculed because a disease that people have feared for years. Through their accounts, we learn about the immense difficulties they face as HIV patients, but how they now have hope because advancements in medicine have allowed them to live longer and more fulfilling lives.
This report chronicles each step the filmmakers have taken in making this film, from pre-conceptualisation, to pre-production, production in Thailand and finally post-production.
In addition, the report provides a discussion on the challenges and ethical dilemmas the filmmakers have faced, their thought processes and finally the decisions they made eventually. |
