This sleep attacks causes him to fall asleep under unusual and inconvenient circumstances. When he falls asleep, he gets into trouble. Fortunately, he has his faithful dog to rescue him. However, the tables turn when the dog is placed in a life‐threatening situation and requires his saving instead. The story attempts to convey a message about how serious a person with narcolepsy has to go through in their everyday life: black out or just fall asleep at the wrong place at the wrong time. Portraying the main character as a narcoleptic boy, I present the character’s experiences as comical and also depicting the frustration felt by many with narcolepsy – his disease may seem to be a joke.
